Power assignment schemes are man‐made methods to enhance the capture effect of radio communications. In a previous study, Wen and Yang investigated the combined capture effect of the fixed power assignment scheme, Rayleigh fading, and near–far effect on the performance of packet radios. The performance analysis was limited to an infinite population environment. This assumption is reasonable for a conventional packet radio system with a vast service area. However, for a cellular mobile system, a finite population model should be used. In this paper, we analyse the combined natural and man‐made capture effect on the performance of a cellular system with finite population in each cell. A random power assignment scheme is adopted to produce the man‐made capture. The system throughput and delay are carried out by a Markov model. This paper studies the performance of radio assignment algorithms for portable access in cellular systems. Several channel access procedures are proposed and simulated using block oriented network simulator (BONeS) simulation of a model 36‐port system. Simulation results exhibit that load‐sharing system with LIBTA algorithm is better than directed retry system with the same algorithm by around 0.9 erlangs while better than quasi‐fixed channel assignment (QFCA) system by around 2 erlangs if the grade of service (GOS) is constrained to less than 10 per cent. Plus, a hybrid time‐slot selection procedure is proposed to enhance the system performance. It is observed that systems with hybrid time‐slot selection perform better than those with LIBTA algorithm in GOS under heavy load. It is also observed that load sharing system with hybrid time‐slot selection algorithm is better than directed retry system with the same algorithm by around 0.7 erlangs and better than QFCA system by around 2 erlangs. A complete methodology based on broadband S-parameter measurement is proposed to establish the electrical models for radio-frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) packages. The research is focused on calibration of the test-fixture parasitics to obtain the intrinsic S-parameters from which an equivalent coupled lumped model can be extracted for any pair of package leads under test. Then a step-by-step optimization scheme is employed to construct an equivalent circuit for the whole package. A real example on modeling a 16-lead Thin Shrink Small Outline Package (TSSOP) has been demonstrated. The established model can account for various package effects at radio frequencies  相似文献

In this paper, we describe the theory underlying an empirical Bayesian approach to monitoring two or more process characteristics simultaneously. If the data is continuous and multivariate in nature, often the multivariate normal distribution can be used to model the process. Then, using Bayesian theory, we develop techniques to implement empirical Bayes process monitoring of the multivariable process. Lastly, an example is given to illustrate the use of our techniques. 目的 采用气相色谱-质谱(GC-MS) 技术对正常油菜籽与霉变油菜籽中挥发性成分进行鉴定和分类分析。方法 采用顶空固相微萃取(HS-SPME)技术对油菜籽中的挥发性成分进行萃取,优化顶空固相微萃取的微萃取头、萃取温度、萃取时间和解析时间等条件,并结合气相色谱-质谱(GC-MS) 技术对正常油菜籽与霉变油菜籽中挥发性成分进行测定。结果 顶空固相微萃取的最佳条件为固相萃取头30/50 μm DVB/CAR/PDMS,萃取温度60 ℃,萃取时间60 min,解吸时间3 min。在最佳实验条件下,GC-MS鉴定出油菜籽中挥发性成分主要有醛类、酮类、醇类、烃类、少量酸、酯类物质及杂环类等多种组分,其中烃类含量最高; 3-辛酮、苯乙酮、苯乙醛、苯乙醇、以及十九烷 、二十一烷等烷烃类化合物仅在霉变油菜籽中检出。结论 该方法可较好区分正常油菜籽与霉变油菜籽。  相似文献

A model to simulate surface roughness in the pad dressing process   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Pad dressing, which is one of the most important planarization processes, is widely used in CMP. The estimation of surface roughness under various machining parameters (such as dressing force, diamond density of the dresser, rotational speed of the dresser, different machining paths, etc.) is essential to the pad dressing process. In this study, elastic-plastic theory and the wear model are used to construct the expression for the magnitude of material removal as a function of the indentation depth. The deformation of the pad is obtained by using elastic-plastic theory, and the material removal caused by individual micro-contacts is calculated with the help of wear theory. Finally, the macroscopic wear volume is found by summing the volumetric wear of each individual micro-contact. A parametric study is conducted to explore the influence on the surface roughness results and the pad dressing interfacial phenomena of operational parameters. The results reveal that a rapid initial improvement followed by a leveling off, manifesting a saturation effect. Moreover, the model shows that a higher dressing force with a dresser speed close to the pad speed and a moderate translation speed increase the material removal rate corresponding with a lower surface roughness dressing.  相似文献

A new three inputs and single output voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with high-input and low-output impedance using three plus-type differential difference current conveyors, two grounded capacitors and two grounded resistors is presented. The proposed circuit offers the following features: realization of all the standard filter functions, that is, high-pass, bandpass, low-pass, notch, and all-pass filters, no requirements for component matching conditions, the use of only grounded capacitors and resistors, high-input and low-output impedance and low active and passive sensitivities.  相似文献

This paper makes an improvement of computing two nearest-neighbor problems of images on a reconfigurable array of processors (RAP) by increasing the bus width between processors. Based on a base-n system, a constant time algorithm is first presented for computing the maximum/minimum of N log N-bit unsigned integers on a RAP using N processors each with N1/c-bit bus width, where c is a constant and c ≥ 1. Then, two basic operations such as image component labeling and border following are also derived from it. Finally, these algorithms are used to design two constant time algorithms for the nearest neighbor black pixel and the nearest neighbor component problems on an N1/2 × N1/2 image using N1/2 × N1/2 processors each with N1/c-bit bus width, where c is a constant and c ≥ 1. Another contribution of this paper is that the execution time of the proposed algorithms is tunable by the bus width.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Experience suggests that tumor growth is dependent on angiogenesis. The intensity of angiogenesis in human cancer is reported to be predictive of the probability of metastasis in many types of cancer. The aims of this study were 1) to determine the relationship of microvessel density (MVD) in renal cell carcinoma to pathologic stage, and 2) to evaluate the role of MVD in metastasis. METHODS: Paraffin-embedded tumor specimens were reviewed from 34 unselected patients with RCC who had undergone surgery from 1986 to 1990 at Taichung Veterans General Hospital. The pathology findings and clinical records were reviewed to note relationships between pathologic stage and whether or not metastasis had occurred. Specimens were studied from 16 cases (eight Stage I cancers, five Stage II and three Stage III) without metastasis and from 18 cases (two Stage I, six Stage II, six Stage III and four Stage IV) in which metastasis later developed. Microvessels were highlighted by immunostaining endothelial cells for factor VIII-related antigen. Microvessels were counted in a x-400 field (0.1885 mm2/field) in the most active areas of neovascularization. RESULTS: The 16 patients without metastasis have survived for between 65 and 136 months (mean, 94.5 months), up to the present time. Of the 18 patients with metastasis, 15 died and three survived, with mean survivals of 42.8 months (range, 12-99 months). Mean overall MVD was 99.6 vessels; mean MVD was 98.5, 96.2, 109.3 and 90.0 in Stages I, II, III and IV tumors, respectively. Mean MVD was 99.3 in patients without metastasis and 99.9 in patients with metastasis. CONCLUSIONS: MVD does not correlate with pathologic stage and is of no prognostic significance in renal cell carcinoma.  相似文献
